ResurrXion: A Beginning - Cable #1 Teaser

Marvel has revealed a new teaser for the mysterious ResurrXion. The project will follow after Death of X, and Inhumans Vs. X-Men. This new teaser image plays off of the "A New Beginning" tagline from last week's Resurrxtion An Ending. A Beginning Teaser. This teaser joins Monday's ICEMAN #1,  Tuesday's WEAPON X #1 teaser, Wednesday's JEAN GREY #1 and yesterday's GENERATION X #1 with CABLE #1 along with images from throughout the character's history.

Cable is Nathan Summers and is the son of Scott Summers (Cyclops) and Madelyne Pryor (Jean Grey's clone), he is also half brother to Rachel Summers-Grey. Cable is from a possible  post-apocalyptic future timeline having been transported to the there to save his life. Cable traveled to the past with one mission; kill Apocalypse to prevent his future from happening. To do this he traveled to his home timeline and set out recruiting a team of mutants to launch a preemptive strike in hopes of preventing Apocalypse's rise to power.

Louise Simonson and artist/co-writer Rob Liefeld created the character Cable who first appeared in 1990's New Mutants #87 as a "Man of Action"  to lead the New Mutants. It was later revealed that the character had been introduced four years prior in 1986's Uncanny X-Men #201 as the infant Nathaniel Summers by writer Chris Claremont. Since then Cable has appeared in solo titles as well as team books such as New Mutants, X-Force, Cable and X-Force, and currently be found in, Uncanny Avengers.
"I was given a directive to create a new leader for the New Mutants. There was no name, no description besides a 'man of action', the opposite of Xavier. I created the look, the name, much of the history of the character. After I named him Cable, Bob suggested Quinn and Louise had Commander X"
- Rob Liefeld On Cable's Creation

Like the previous titles there is no further information on Cable #1 yet including the creators, but it will be released along side of them in Spring 2017.
